Trail Work Reports

March 25, 2006: Trail Work at Lake Wedington (Twin Knobs Trail)

Volunteers: Don West, Ira White, John Bryan, Pat, Clayton Bell, and a few other people (sorry I can’t remember everone’s name)

Volunteer Hours: 22.5 hours

Accomplishments: Rerouted a nasty section of trail around a rutted out road and fall line descent.  Marked trail with plastic blazes.

 

January 15th, 2006: Trail work at Lake Lincoln.

Volunteers: Doug Hutchens and wife, Ira White, Travis(?), and Don West.

Volunteer hours: 12.5 hours

The OORC organized a crew of 5 trail volunteers for a work day at Lake Lincoln about 5 miles south of Lincoln on WC 669. Volunteers worked on a 1/4-1/3 mile section of trail on the east side of the lake. The trail corridor was cleared and the trail bed has bench cut in a few areas and racked to clear the trail. Volunteers worked for 2.5 hours adding 12.5 volunteers hours to the OORC volunteer labor for the year.
